Interested teachers and schools have the opportunity to have a representative from ICHV come to their school to conduct workshops based on the curriculum and initiate participation in the contest. Possibilities include:
.
- Professional development sessions with teachers to introduce the curriculum and strategies for incorporating it into their own classrooms
- Class period or day-long workshops with individual classrooms or groups of students to introduce the topic and contest
- Recurring weekly visits to the same school, class, or group of students to build awareness through long-term immersion and discussion of the issue
- Training sessions with groups of students to cultivate peer mentors and leaders who can act as facilitators of the program in their own classrooms, advisories, etc.
